I don’t really understand young people who are Conservatives…

In America, not here.

In Australia the party you vote for is less ingrained. Liberal and Labor are pretty close to having the same opinions, and they seem to swap every few years…

But in America, where Conservatives are, well, their ideas and opinions are kinda crazy - I don’t get how young people, who grow up with much more information on the world around them than their parents did, how can they really support such archaic opinions.

I assume that most young Conservatives have grown-up with Conservative parents in a relatively comfortable socio-economic environment, or they are just ignorant hicks. 

So, I have no idea what I’m talking about, What do you think?

  1. slaughterhousefive said: Either they have conservative parents or they get outraged that at some point the government’s going to take money away from them that they earned all on their own. They don’t stop to think about how the government funded most of their education.
  2. espressoandvodkashots said: Lots of people are misinformed and follow their parents politically. You ask someone who they would vote for and they can tell you, but ask them to name one of that persons stances and they most likely can’t.
